Opening and Closing times:

10:00 – 18:00: The Ashram is open daily all year round including public holidays

Admission

Admission to everyone is free of charge
For school tours and large groups it is advisable to inform the Ashram so that a guided tour (free of charge) can be organised

Prohibited

  • Smoking and Alcohol
  • Smoking tobacco, alcohol and drugs are not permitted on the property

Behaviour

  • We request that visitors behave in a way that is respectful to the peaceful sanctity of the Ashram by refraining from impolite, rude and loud languge, disposing of their rubbish in the rubbish bins provided and not touching or tampering with the displays. We also request that visitors dress appropriately to respect the dignity of the Ashram
  • Parking, free of charge is available on the property

Donations

  • Donations made to the Ashram are most welcomed as the Ashram and Ashram activities are funded by a Trust.
  • Donations can be made upon visiting the Ashram or if wanting to contribute from abroad, please feel free to contact the Ashram.

Photography and Videography

We welcome visitors to take photos and videos for personal use while on the SAPMT campus. Handheld cameras, video cameras, and camera phones are permitted in all public outdoor spaces and galleries, subject to the following:

  1. Photographs, videos and audio recordings are intended for personal use only and may not be sold or used for commercial purposes, including licensing. Reproduction, distribution, or publication of the images or videos is strictly prohibited without prior written consent. You are permitted to use your own photographs, films, and audio recordings solely for private, non-commercial purposes.
  2. Professional shoots of any nature, including but not limited to pre-wedding, wedding, engagement, portrait making, product photography, movie shoots, debates, talk shows, modelling, drone shoots, LiDAR, and photogrammetry, are strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the administration department. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, and special permission may be granted for certain situations upon request to the administration department.
  3. Please use only natural lighting for photography and do NOT use flash or any other artificial lighting.
  4. Selfie sticks are permitted for use in public outdoor spaces. However, for the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and to protect the galleries, the use of selfie sticks is NOT permitted inside the premises.
  5. The use of external equipment such as tripods, monopods, handheld microphones, lighting, props, and any other accessories is strictly prohibited.
  6. Visitors are required to maintain a safe distance in order to ensure the safety and preservation of exhibits, platforms, and pedestals. Cameras must be kept at a minimum distance of 18 inches away from the exhibits at all times, and they should never be held over the exhibits.

Note: While taking photographs, filming, or making audio recordings at the SAPMT, please respect the privacy of other visitors. If a visitor feels that your photography, filming, or recording is intrusive, you may be asked to stop immediately and delete the captured data.
