An Indian Environmentalist, Social activist & journalist Sunita Narain will address the gathering. She is director general of the India-based research institute the ‘Centre for Science and Environment’ and an editor of the fortnightly magazine ‘Down to Earth’. In 2005 she was awarded the Padmshri by the Government of India. In 2016 she was named to Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people.
